What are people saying about the 2011 Odyssey? Here are just a few of the raves that the redesign has garnered...

AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE After taking a good long look at the all-new Odyssey, they decided it was indeed worthy of inclusion, saying, "The minivan is as close as you can get to the perfect family vehicle, and the Honda Odyssey is as close as you can get to the perfect minivan."  View the full article here.

EDMUNDS - INSIDE LINE responded by calling it the "closest thing to an eight-passenger sport sedan," the 2011 Honda Odyssey is a winner of an Edmunds' Inside Line Editors' Most WantedSM award for 2011. The editors at Edmunds concluded the Odyssey's road manners "will win the heart of any car guy-turned-family man."

KELLEY BLUE BOOK'S has named the 2011 Honda Odyssey the "Best Redesigned Vehicle for 2011". The editors praised the Odyssey engineers and designers for successfully tackling the difficult task of improving an already very successful, hot-selling model that is widely regarded as the pinnacle of its class.

With all the new features, roomier interior, better fuel economy, the new 2011 Honda Odyssey is the perfect minivan for the family. Below is a full reveal video, showing you all of the new benefits that this incarnation of the beloved minivan has to offer.

Now here is what the new 2011 Honda Odyssey has to offer you...

5-Star Safety

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) toughened up its crash-safety tests for 2011, and the Odyssey passed with flying colors. In fact, the Odyssey earned 5-stars in each seating position of all three crash-safety tests, as well as earning a 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score[1].

The Odyssey's interior is a showcase of unprecedented technology, user-friendliness and audio-visual innovation.

Touring Elite models come standard with the  16.2-inch Honda DVD Ultrawide Rear Entertainment System with HDMI[1][2] Technology, so one passenger can watch a movie, while the other can look at photos or videos from an HDMI?compatible camera or portable DVD player. Honda engineers believe a sound system is only worth its wattage if music can be easily accessed and played. Courtesy of the  USB Audio Interface[3] and  Song By Voice® (SBV) feature, simple voice commands can access music selections from the integrated hard drive or iPod®[4] by artist, playlist, genre, composer, track or album.

No matter how much fun is had in the Odyssey, cleanliness is easily maintained with the  Flip-Up Trash Bag Ring (EX and above). You can even stay aware of what's happening in the Odyssey's "blind spot" with the  blind spot information system (BSI) (Touring Elite)[5], and FM Traffic, which is standard with the  Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System™[6]. Also enhancing visibility is the  multi-view rear camera (with navigation), which helps you parallel park with the utmost precision.

Efficiency Without Compromise

The Honda Odyssey features a refined 3.5-liter i-VTEC® V-6 engine that achieves class-leading[2] fuel economy[3], and produces up to 248 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque. All models feature the innovative  Variable Cylinder Management™(VCM®), which is able to quickly and seamlessly activate or deactivate two or three cylinders, based on the power requirement. So you get the best of both worlds: V-6 power when you're accelerating or climbing, and up to 28-mpg fuel economy[3].

Life presents many challenges. The Odyssey interior has all the versatility to solve them.

Innumerable Possibilities

With many possible seating configurations, the new Odyssey could have the most customizable, usable interior space on the road, and the One-Motion 60/40 Split 3rd-Row Magic Seat makes this possible. With ease, the 3rd row can be tucked away completely or partially to accommodate odd combinations of cargo and people. Whether carrying a stack of 4'x8' sheets of plywood, up to 5 toddlers safely secured with LATCH seating positions (EX and above), or as many as 8 adults (EX and above) ready to party, the Odyssey will keep you amazed at its versatility.

Top of the Class

28 mpg[1] is an extraordinarily high number for an 8-passenger van. To accomplish this high level of efficiency[1], the engineers needed more than just an efficient engine and transmission. Other features were added, like low-rolling resistance tires, a variable-displacement power-steering pump, and low-drag wheel bearings as well as aero improvements to the body.
